Abstract


Roads have a very important function, namely as land transportation infrastructure that can support all human needs in the health, social, cultural and economic sectors. One of the most important road infrastructure is the road that connects an area with health facilities such as the nearest hospital or health center such as Nagari Baruah Gunuang. Due to the condition of the road to the Baruah Gunuang health center which is still difficult to pass, good planning is needed for the road construction activities. Therefore this study aims to calculate the thickness of the flexible pavement and the Budget Plan by comparing two methods, namely the 1993 AASHTO and MDPJ 2017 methods. Based on a comparison of the results of the road pavement thickness on the 1993 AASHTO method, a total thickness of 25 cm was obtained at a cost of Rp.1.092. 155.000,00,-. and the 2017 Road Pavement Design Manual method uses a 50 cm granular foundation layer at a cost of Rp.2.467.678.000,00. The calculation results of the 1993 AASHTO method have a total thickness of pavement that is thinner and cheaper than the 2017 Road Pavement Design Manual method.
