1. Accessing the Submission System
- Go to the Progressive: Journal of Advanced Education website at [insert journal URL].
- Click "Login" if you already have an account or "Register" to create a new one.
- If registering, fill in your personal details, select “Author” as your role, and verify your email.
2. Starting a New Submission
Once logged in, follow these steps:
Step 1: Select Submission Type
- On the Author Dashboard, click "New Submission".
- Choose the appropriate section (e.g., Research Articles, Policy Analysis).
- Check the submission checklist to ensure compliance with journal policies.
Step 2: Upload the Manuscript
- Click "Upload File", then select Article Text as the file type.
- Choose the manuscript file in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format and click "Continue".
- Add any supplementary files (e.g., figures, tables, ethical approval documents) if required.
Step 3: Enter Metadata
- Fill in the title, abstract, and keywords (3–5 relevant terms).
- Add all authors’ details:
- Full name
- Affiliation
- ORCID ID (if available)
- If there are multiple authors, ensure the correct order of contributions.
Step 4: Confirm References
- Ensure all citations and references follow APA Style (latest edition).
- If requested, upload a separate reference list file.
Step 5: Confirm and Submit
- Review all submission details.
- Click "Finish Submission", then confirm by clicking "OK".
- A confirmation email will be sent automatically.
3. Tracking Submission Progress
- Authors can check the status of their submission via the Author Dashboard.
- Possible status updates:
- Submission in Review – under double-blind peer review.
- Revisions Required – authors need to revise and resubmit.
- Accepted – the manuscript has been approved for publication.
- Declined – the manuscript does not meet journal requirements
4. Revising and Resubmitting
- If revisions are required, download reviewer comments and make the necessary changes.
- Re-upload the revised manuscript and submit a response letter addressing reviewer feedback.
5. Final Proofreading and Publication
- Once accepted, authors will receive galley proofs for final approval.
- The article will be published online first, then assigned to an issue.
